We pride ourselves in being part of the community and on our ability to address individual patient needs.
We are a multilingual practice which is paramount with the diverse range of languages within the area. We are well versed on the needs of the many different religions that we deal with.
As we know our patients well, we book appointments accordingly. For instance when a female patient books an appointment, we are aware that dependent on her religion we may need to accommodate a chaperone. We also aim to ensure that a member of staff is available to all patients at all times who is able to speak their language. The practice is proud to be able to speak English, Urdu, Hindi, Gujuarati, Swahili, Punjabi and Bengali. However, should we have a patient with a language that we are unfamiliar with we are able to offer an interpreter within an hour on request.
We have four surgeries with one of these adapted for the disabled. This surgery is on ground level with ramp access for wheelchair users. We also offer a hearing loop for the hard of hearing and the majority of our patient information literature is now multilingual.
Our staffing structure consists of five dentists, one practice manager, nine nurses, two dental therapists and two receptionists. Our nurses are all extremely focussed, caring and hardworking. They all support our community ethos and work hard to promote the practice and all patient needs.
Patient knowledge is key to our practice as our patient base is so diverse and our staff continually monitors and reassesses all patient needs. Knowing the patients history is also an essential requirement in a surgery such as ours as any dormant issues or worries are already known to staff and we can pre-empt any problems that may arise.
We stand out from other practices as we consistently strive to meet all patient needs and requirements should they be language, disability, cultural or religious.
We have been members of the BDA Good Practice for four years now due to the exceptional standards we adhere to at all times, demonstrating a visible commitment to meeting nationally recognised best practice standards.
